In 2009, the venerable Ongpotjanakornkosol (Ongpot) was given permission to establish an organization ofounderf Anamikaya (Mahayana Buddhism) in the United States by the Supreme Patriarch of Buddhist Sangha (the ministry of Buddhist monks of Thailand). It is located in Pasadena, California.

Anamnikaya was registered as a non-profit organization in 2011. It is located at 1635 N Lake Ave, Pasadena, CA 91104. It was founded by the venerable Ongpot in cooperation with temples and meditation centers in Thailand, Myanmar, and Vietnam, educational institutions in Thailand, an orphanage in India and supporters in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

The organization exists to facilitate the practice of Dharma in Buddhists’ daily lives by employing the help of Buddhist monks from Thailand, India, Myanmar and Vietnam who reside at the center in Pasadena.

Since its establishment in the United States, the Master has worked tirelessly to assist and contribute to the community, advising people in accordance with the teachings of the Buddha. The organization provides opportunities for monks to propagate Dharma once they have practiced meditation and accomplished the necessary requirements to become spiritual teachers. The location serves as a meditation center and accommodates monks while they gain the skills to assist Buddhists by teaching them to alleviate their suffering through the practice of meditation and apply the teachings of the Buddha to their daily lives.
